I'm in Europe...I mean New York City

So a lot of people asked me before I left what I was going to do during the day while Em was working. A few months ago when this opportunity came up, I was jobless. I figured that I could look for a job from my computer in NYC just as easily as I could in Utah. So I decided to come and knew that the girl time at night would make it all worth it.

Since I am no longer jobless, I have been able to get out and explore quite a bit. This may seem weird to go out alone, but what's a girl to do when there is so much to see here? Besides, I got used to doing things alone when I was in Europe. I would much rather be with someone, but oh well. I wasn't going to let it stop me. (The only tricky part is trying to take a picture of yourself as you will see below).

Speaking of Europe.

Today I went to the coolest place ever! It is called the Cloisters. It is an extension of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its completely dedicated to medieval European art and architecture. It is way up at 190th street, but with a just a hop on the subway I was there.

And I felt like I was in Europe.
It was amazing.
It was so peaceful and serene.
A nice break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

My other stop before the day was over was a trip to Bow Bridge in Central Park. This is the famous spot that Brandon proposed to me exactly 2 years ago today. The only missing today was you babe! I will always love this spot! Thanks for asking me to marry you.


Em and I did some more shopping. We are up to 8 H&M visits. :) We finished the night with a visit to Alice's Tea Cup. We were a little disappointed after all the hype we heard about it, but we tried New York style scones. It downpoured as we were walking there so it was quite a relief to get inside. I don't have any pictures since I left my camera card in my laptop. Its kind of ironic because it actually turned out to be very memorable. Between the let down it was, the very undecorated place (which it received great reviews for), and amazing scones that weren't so amazing, we actually enjoyed the quiet place to ourselves and out of the rain.
