Tickets to a Jazz game! Ok, not really. But I did have intentions to until his company gave us tickets for 20th row--way better than I would ever be able to afford and concessions money. It doesn't get much better than that.
I added a surprise element by stopping at the Old World Christmas Market at the Gateway. It was patterned after the German Christmas markets that I would frequent while I was living there. The little booths, authentic German food, lights, and holiday music was a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
