Back East: Pittsburgh Part 1

Our first leg of the trip was in Pennsylvania. My friend from elementary school Andrea and her cute little family live just outside of Pittsburgh. We are so glad that it worked out to visit them. Andrea is like a sister to me. I loved getting to see her neck of the woods. And I meant that literally because there are so many trees! It was beautiful.

The Nelsons were such great hosts. They made us delicious meals, including our new favorite dish--steak salad. And we found this welcome card and chocolates on our pillows. We must be friends!

Our first stop was Salvation Army. Andrea and I are constantly sharing our thrift store finds with each other so it was fun to actually be shopping together! We both found some cute new clothes.

Then they took us to their park where there is a real Bocce court. We played a very intense game of Bocce and this is where Brandon and Tanner became really good friends. And just in case you were wondering, the Sundays came from behind to win the game. 

The boys did a great job of preparing the court while we shopped.

To celebrate our victory, they took us to their favorite ice cream shop, Brusters. It was the best ice cream we've had in a long time.
