As I was packing up some things, I heard Brandon walk in. I turned around and saw this...what a suave guy I have! And he even packed Lindt for us as after-dinner mints. He sure knows the way to his pregnant-wife's heart.
We took the road less traveled and drove through Big Cottonwood Canyon to do some leaf- peeping. The colors were so vibrant!
We stopped and had a picnic on a rock, in the sunshine I might add, at Solitude.
We went swimming, worked out, shopped at the Outlets, slept in, continued our Harry Potter marathon, ate a lot (including a breakfast on the veranda), went to Fatali's art gallery and perused Main Street.
We really wanted a steak dinner on our last night, but since the only place we could find was asking $50 a plate, we decided we would have a nice romantic dinner in our studio. We picked up salad and garlic knots from Main Street Noodle and Co and bought the nicest cut of meat from Fresh Market. It might not seem like a vacation to some people if they have to cook, but we had a blast. We love cooking together. And it was the best filet minot I've ever had.
We wrapped up our trip with one last stop at the outlets and found a fun scarecrow walk on the way out.
Yep, we are teaching Baby Sunday how to be festive already.
And now, back to reality.
Glad you had a nice getaway! And how do you look so stinking cute ALL the time, including when you're pregnant! Geesh!
