Our Just "Us" Christmas

It has become our little tradition to have our own Christmas Eve on the 23rd since we are usually with family on the 24th. This year, we both took the day off. We got to workout together, run some errands, take a nap, and then we went to the Temple and had a dinner with Brandon's family. On our way home, we stopped at the Christmas Utah light display. The line of cars was insane, so we braved the cold and walked to it. It's a good thing we did because this is the last year they will be doing it.

Once we got home, we gave our 11th day of Christmas present to each other and then snuggled up to Home Alone 2 on our air mattress by our Christmas tree. It was magical.

We loved that we got to leave out 3 stockings for Santa to fill this year.

Our Christmas morning together (which was really on Christmas Eve) was so perfect. Santa brought us a few fun things. Brandon has been loving his nerf gun. My favorite gift was a note that Santa had wrapped up. It said, "I think I hear the baby crying. You better go check on it." I went into the baby's room and Santa had brought and set up a pack-n-play.  We can't wait until our little one is really in there (and hoping that it doesn't cry to much.) After opening gifts, we made yummy lemon ricotta pancakes for breakfast. I love my little family!

  1. Sounds like a really fun day. The 3 stockings are pretty fun. One of the missionaries here said they call the 23rd Christmas Adam (because Adam came before Eve :). Glad you had a happy one.
