I forget how much I love it until it comes around.
It all started when I was growing up.
My parents made it so fun.
My mom would encourage us to wear a red outfit to school.
All the girls would find a fresh flower
on the breakfast table from my Dad.
We would unveil who our secret valentine was around the dinner table.
And we would always find a treat bag on our pillows before bed.
And always love notes signed xoxo, Mom and Dad.
I'm so glad my parents taught me that this holiday is
a day to celebrate love of all kinds.
Love for parents, a spouse, siblings, children, significant others, and friends alike.
Happy Valentines' Day tomorrow.
I can't wait to see what our day of love brings.
xoxo
