healthy tasted good

for 2011 resolutions, we are trying something new. instead of coming up with a bazillion
"eat-an-elephant" type goals for the year, we set monthly goals. it has helped us to be more
focused on our goals and makes them more manageable to achieve.
of course, we still have some long-term goals for the year,
but it's been really nice to only have to focus on specific things each month.

one of our february goals was to eat more fruits and veggies.
the month is half over and i realized that we aren't going to accomplish
that unless we have more fruits and veggies to eat.
on our most recent trip to the grocery store,
we only selected things from the produce section.
we came home with fresh cauliflower, grapefruit, oranges, cucumbers
tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, salad, and kiwi.
we've still got a long way to go, but it really did
taste delicious
to eat a plethora of produce during the week.

  1. I think I probably spend half our grocery bill each week buying produce. I can't wait until the farmers market opens back up in a few weeks. good luck accomplishing your goal to eat more fruits and veggies - they are my favorite!
