I am usually not one to solicit help on this little blog of ours, but this is a very worthy cause and deserves to be mentioned here.
My older brother just graduated from the BYU MBA program and over the course of the last year, has been working on a new company that aims to alleviate poverty in rural Africa.Tilapiana works with rural entrepreneurs in Africa to provide them with the training, resources, and skills necessary to successfully run and manage their own fish farms. These African entrepreneurs are able to address the significant fish shortage that exists, as well as pull themselves and their families from poverty.
I invite and encourage you to vist the Tipping Bucket website (www.tippingbucket.org) to learn more about the Tilapiana project and to make a one-time donation using the Tipping Bucket platform. 100% of your donation will be used for the pilot in Ghana. In addition, your donation is tax deductible as the Tipping Bucket is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
Regardless of whether you make a donation, please help get the word out and get others to visit the TIpping Bucket website. Update your Facebook status, sent out a tweet, call all your friends, or send out a message via carrier pigeon. Whatever the method, please help get the word out.
For those who may work for an organization that matches your donations, this may be a great opportunity to increase the amount of your impact. For those who run their own organizations or in a financial position to do so, please consider making a matching grant to the total amount of funding that is raised over the next week. For me details or to learn about corporate sponsorship opportunities, please send an email to contact@tilapiana.com
Finally, if you would like to receive periodic updates on Tilapiana's progress, please click here and join their mailing list.
