blake {at four months}

I can't believe I am already doing another month post. This past month has definitely gone the fastest of all of them. Maybe it's because we are finally settling into somewhat of a routine? I now know what people mean when they say that it goes too fast. If the past four months have already gone this fast, I don't know if I'm ready for the next 18 years.

Things to Remember: 
-Weighs 13 lbs 14 oz (28th percentile) and is 24.25 inches long (24% percentile) and his head is 15.8 inches (8th percentile). I guess we've got a little guy on our hands. At two months he was in the 50th percentile, so perhaps his growing has slowed down a bit.
-Blake loves to stand up. He will sit on our laps when he is tired, but other than that, he would prefer to be standing up (with our help, of course)
-He is a great sleeper. We got lucky (and I bet our next baby won't be as good), but we are enjoying it. He sleeps 8-9 hours at night and then takes a long morning and afternoon nap. Anything I get done during the day is a result of him being a great sleeper. And thankfully, we haven't had to do much sleep training. We had a few nights of him crying a lot, but lately he falls asleep within 10-15 minutes.  I think he got his momma's love for sleeping. (At least for now he does)
-He smiles with his whole mouth open. He does look serious some of the time, but once you get him smiling, he can't stop.
-He loves avoiding eye contact. I think its a game he plays. But once you lock eyes with him, he will not move and will give you the biggest smile and laugh.
-The people at church who sit behind us call him a little flirt. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
-He doesn't suck on his thumb much anymore, but he loves sucking on those socks that keep him from scratching his face. We go through several pairs a day.
-He likes tummy time for about the first 10 minutes. He has rolled over a few times, but hasn't done it in a while.
-He has terrible cradle cap. We're going to work on that.
-He has outgrown the bathroom sink for baths, so we use the kitchen sink (when it's clean) or we have him shower with dad. He doesn't love it, but he doesn't put up a fuss about it either.
-He loves being in new places. He loves looking around and observing everything around him.
