the clippers came out

Right after our Mardi Gras dinner, we gave Blake his first haircut. (It wasn't technically his first if you count me trimming his bangs back in the summer, but don't tell.)

The hair behind his ears was getting long and wispy and his bangs/hairline was all uneven from the before-said unofficial first hair cut. It was time to trim him up and make him all handsome for his first birthday.

We started out with a smile...

which quickly turned to tears, but we have a clean-cut little boy, nonetheless.
