Back to the Tuscon posts...
My sister served her mission in Tucson, so when she heard we were going to visit, she gave us a few recommendations to do while we were there. In her words, "I don't even like hot dogs, but you have to try a Sonoran hot dog. They are SO good." And it just so happened that one of the members she knew owns a hotdog joint in the mall, so that is where we went after our Tahono Chul adventure.
What is a Sonoran hot dog? It's a hot dog piled high with pinto beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, guac, and cheese. It doesn't look that appetizing and truth be told, I don't know if I would ever crave one again, but it was definitely a cultural experience and we are all about experiences. The fatfries were amazing. We were full for a long time after this lunch :)
