Since the first official day of Summer was on a Saturday, we planned on doing something really fun and outdoorsy. We had a few ideas up our sleeves, but Brandon's dad invited us to tag along with him to Rockport State Park while he fished. And so that's what we did. Blake had a fun time watching Grandpa. And just holding the pole was enough for him this trip. We'll try some real fishing next time.
We wanted to do the
First Day of Summer Tradition I heard from my friend, but I wasn't early enough on making the ice cream to do it. So we had tin foil dinners out on the patio and then homemade sorbet for dessert. Welcome Summer! (Although it's already felt like summer for the past few weeks.)
