Over the river and through the woods

Our Thanksgiving weekend in Idaho Falls was wonderful.

First, there was a long drive over the river and through the woods (literally). It's been a long time since we've had to travel anywhere for Thanksgiving. It was so fun getting all packed up and making the trek.

Then, there was a pie party the night before Thanksgiving (you know, to stretch out our bellies for the big meal. I LOVE this tradition!)

Then, of course, we ate a marvelous Thanksgiving dinner with all the best things~mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey, beans, layered jello, homemade rolls, lime slush, and stuffing.

(these are the place settings I made)

And then, you guessed it, more pie.

Other things that filled our time: midnight shopping on Black Friday, football games, playing games, and hanging out with the nieces and nephews.
