Adventures with Luise

We should have known an evening with Luise would be full of adventures. You see, Luise is my best friend from Germany. We are so similar, yet our differences are what holds our friendship together. We always have a blast with each other.

We got to pick her up from the airport and give her the Salt Lake tour. Too bad for us, other things got in the way of having more time with her.

Our first adventure happened as we were driving down Victory Road. We nearly had a heart attack when a man dressed in complete black was standing in the middle of the road and did not move out of our way. We weren't sure what his motives were, but it freaked us out nonetheless. He didn't even flinch or move as we drove around him either. Moral of the story... make sure you have good brakes just in case the same thing happens to you. It was scary!

Our second adventure was eating at the one and only Kitty Papa's Steak House. Doesn't it look like we are in Las Vegas?

When B asked what Luise felt like eating, she said, "Meat." So meat it was. We got the greasiest steaks we have ever seen. But they were good and B seemed to be especially happy. He's been wanting to eat there for a while, but it's not exactly the best romantic-date-spot around.

Then again, it does say "fine food" on the window. I think they might even be taking Valentine's Day reservations. Maybe we'll get lucky and get to go back.
