::Having a baby boy to celebrate with was the best gift I could have asked for.
::I loved getting to sleep in and getting a hand-delivered note from Blake. I loved finding birthday quarters in my shoe and getting to eat sticky buns for breakfast.
::I loved that it was on Sunday so I got to spend the whole day with my little family. We got to eat rosemary ranch chicken salad together and went a walk.
::I loved playing LIFE to figure out what my presents would be. (A little history. Brandon had asked me what I wanted for my birthday. In the interest of our budget, I told him I just wanted to make some memories. So with that lead, he came up with a way of deciding what activities we would do and what presents I would get). While Blake was napping, we played the game. He put activities on the LIFE tiles and whichever tiles I had at the end of the game is what activities we would do throughout the day and the rest of the summer. Oh, and I got to change in the fake money for cash to use at a yard sale. I ended up with quite the collection of life tiles and I'm looking forward to doing all of these fun things with my boys. The gifts I got from him were things to use on our activities.
::I loved feeling like a cool mom for once. We had put Blake down for bed, but he woke up (I think because he knew a party was going on). I threw all sleep schedules out the window and let him party with us. I mean, c'mon. Look at him eye-ing that cake.
::I loved that I got sparklers on my cake instead of candles. Brandon started this tradition for me a few years ago and it is hands-down one of my favorite things about my birthday.
::I got numerous texts, facebook messages, cards, and calls from family and friends. Thanks everyone for making the day special!
See, I told you it was a good day. And the partying is not over yet...
