We are finally over some nasty sicknesses in our household. The good thing that came from it was lots of cuddle time with Blake. Thanks to lots of little miracles and answered prayers (in addition to help from others), we were still able to make it to everything that may have seemed trivial, but was important to us this weekend. If anything, these trials helped us focus more on our Savior and remember the fact that miracles still exist. It has enriched our Christmas season.
Earlier in the week, we celebrated St. Nicholas Day.
We put out our shoes on the 5th and woke up to gifts from St. Nicholas.
He brought a hat for dad, a Christmas CD for mom, and The Polar Express for Blake.
We had a special dinner of Reibekuchen with applesauce, oranges, and hot chocolate.
