the last bit of AZ

 I don't think I've ever been so out-of-order on posts before. Oh well, that is what happens when life gets the best of us. Here is the last bit of our AZ trip- aka all the random stuff that we don't want to forget:

 ^beautiful landscape right outside of Page^

^we got real, AZ-grown grapefruit from a party we attended. it was yummy ^ 

^ this was the welcome gift they left for us. so thoughtful. they were wonderful hosts ^

^ We ate lunch at La Olla- the first Mexican restaurant I have actually loved. It was delish. ^ 

^ we realized on our last night we didn't have any pictures together. so this was our midnight attempt at re-creating a photo we took together 4 1/2 years ago. ^

^ before we started the drive on Sunday, we got to go to a ward that my sister served her mission in. my friend Dawsha was kind enough to meet us there for a short reunion. she was the only reason I survived my summer working at the Bindery years ago at BYU. ^

-not pictured: craft night and late night chatting and Marcelle's death by chocolate cookies. 

All in all, it was a great trip! It was fun getting to see some of Arizona and getting to hang out with the Calders. We sure miss having them 5 minutes away and weekly hang outs. 

I'm not sure what we were thinking when we decided to do the drive coming back in one day. It was looong and by the end we were all ready to be home. We hit a few snow storms, but made it back safely 14 hours later. Blake was a trooper, but we won't be doing a long drive like that anytime soon.
