mardi gras

Our neighbors told us about a fun Mardi Gras tradition they have and I knew I wanted to do it this year. I picked up some masks from the dollar store and we made some beignets from Cafe du Monde-- the New Orleans cafe my parents discovered when they were on a trip there when I was just little.

We wore masks for dinner. Evelyn wasn't too happy and Blake preferred his on his head, but it was fun  nonetheless!
